Roots fast and takes off if you are experienced with starter plants. This ice plant cuttings variety requires full hot sun and well-draining soil. The more sun it gets, the more blooms it produces. A very popular and favorite container and window box plant, Aptenia cordifolia is a trailing succulent vine that roots very easily in water or moist soil. It cannot tolerate temperatures below 50°F, so it does just fine in a sunny indoor window.
Most people use this in hanging pots or planters so it can overflow beautifully, but it also makes a gorgeous ground cover. If you live in USDA Zones 8B-11, this plant can grow outdoors year-round. It grows on little water and produces cute red puffy flowers similar to puff plants. Our plants come from our gardens. In our order we do not ship soil; plants are bare roots. They will arrive wrapped in biodegradable florist grade protective paper.
Depending on the chosen option, you will receive either well established rooted plants grown in pot (shipped bareroot) or 5-10" cuttings, as shown in the pictures.
