江南新极品 蕙花新八种之一，更是我江浙兰蕙乃至国兰之名品。
民国四年(1915年)问世。由浙江绍兴钱阿禄选出。江苏无锡杨干卿种植。后于日本昭和六年(1936年)东渡，便走出了国门。在日本兰界被隆重推崇，并被誉为“赤茎叮别格贵品”。
由于该花形与绿蕙“极品”(另一名蕙)相仿：外三瓣结圆，龙吞舌。虽系赤壳，但色能转净绿，不失为鲜明之稀品。故以“江南新极品”誉之，也反映了国人当时推崇好花之习惯。
