Green Cloud: Discovered in 1869 behind the Five Clouds Mountain in Hangzhou, at Daqing Lane, it was acquired by the Chen family of Liuxia Town, Hangzhou. Known as the Queen of Spring Orchids, this orchid features slanting leaf growth, with twisted edges on mature plants. The leaves are thick, short, broad, and blunt at the tips, with deep veins and a dark green color. The bracts display a mercury-red hue with a green sandy halo. Typically, the flower has 7-8 petals and more than two Liu Hai-style lips. The three outer petals are short and round, narrowing at the base and broadening at the tip, with tightly edged, glutinous textures. The petals resemble clam shells, accompanied by a Liu Hai-style lip, and the flower color is lake green. It often blooms in pairs, sometimes with as many as 8-9 petals and 2-3 lips, making it a peerless masterpiece among orchids.
